Sacha Prescott – Rolfing/Structural Integration, massage cupping and yoga on Maui

Sacha Prescott - Rolfing and massage cupping in Oakland, CAAre you in need of corrective bodywork? Are you recovering from an injury? Is a chronically bad posture causing pain throughout your body?

I can help. I'm Sacha Prescott, a Rolfer and yoga instructor located in Haiku, Maui. I've spent over 20 years helping people improve their lives by improving their bodies, whether through yoga, Gyrotonic training, massage or Rolfing.

The Rolf Method of Structural Integration

A bodywork method for unwinding and freeing patterns that have limited your full expression of your body's unique structural integrity. The Rolf Method process is an education with 10 sessions of hands on manipulation and movement training, awakening your aligned and balanced relationship with gravity and organizing your structure for more efficient living within yourself and with your external environment.

This is the gospel of Rolfing: When the body gets working appropriately, the force of gravity can flow through. Then, spontaneously, the body heals itself.
Ida P. Rolf, Ph.D.

Wherever we are on our spiral of development and growth process, with the Rolf Method we will step-up to the next level and "peel away a layer of the onion". For each of us individually our progress reflects our intention and willingness to expand into a new state of being.

The Rolf Method has been practiced for over 30 years catalyzing people toward understanding their bodies and overcoming physical, emotional, and psychological challenges.

A bit about Sacha Prescott.

I was first introduced to Rolfing at the age of 14. Many years later, a severe back injury reestablished my relationship and admiration of the work. I began sending my yoga students to my Rolfer and witnessing their transformations, I decided to become a Rolfer myself.

I studied at the Rolf Institute in Boulder, CO in 2004 and advanced my studies there in 2005. In 2006 I traveled to Brazil to take my Rolfing skills to a higher level. I believe that Rolfing is a cohesive process between client and practitioner and I frequently ask my clients for dynamic movement during sessions to reeducate the muscles and to enhance body awareness. My touch is informed and gentle yet, also deep and always with the clients level of comfort in mind.

I've been a yoga instructor for over 20 years, first starting as a Bikram teacher, then adding Ashtanga and Shadow. I'm also certified GYROTONIC® instructor, although it is not currently part of my practice.
